StoryBox Theatre

StoryBox Theatre is a gentle, child-led storytelling toolkit I designed specifically for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), emotional regulation challenges, or who find traditional drama overwhelming.

Using a portable mini-stage, changeable backdrops, a much-loved fox character, prompt cards, small sensory props, and child-controlled LED lighting, children can explore feelings safely through metaphor and play - without ever having to talk directly about themselves.

It is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and built around PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy). Everything is optional - the child is always in charge of the story, pace, and choices.
